Geotechnical Engineer
A well established consulting firm with openings in Salt Lake City, Utah and San Diego, CA is seeking an experience Geotechnical Engineer in both offices. This position is a senior level posting with significant project management, client management, staff management and design responsibility. Work focus will be on commercial, municipal, institutional, and roadway construction projects.
Qualified Candidates Will Have:
* 10+ years of experience
* B.S. Degree in Engineering Field (preferably Civil Engineering)
* Professional Registration as Civil Engineer (PE) (preferably California, Arizona, or Utah)
* Professional Registration as Geotechnical Engineer (GE) (preferably California, Arizona, or Utah)
Technical experience should include:
* Geotechnical services for construction projects for city, county, municipalities (preferably with a focus on commercial and municipal
* Deep foundation design
* Liquefaction assessments
* Slope stability analysis
* Subsurface exploration
* Grading operations
* Field engineering
* Technical and field support
* Roadways
* Pavement design
* Observation and testing of backfill
* Utilities
* Sub grade
* Footings
Management/business experience should include:
* Project management
* Budgeting
* Proposal writing
* Expanding client relationships
* Client interaction
* Mentoring and directing younger staff
Other experience preferred:
* Knowledge of or familiarity with Southern California clients, construction industry, and soil conditions
* Connections with clients for potential to bring new work
Compensation: $85-95K per year salary plus full benefits and bonus potential
