Allison Lonsdale regularly struts her stuff in the performance space next to Lestat's coffee house on Adams Ave & 35th St in San Diego. She's a solo act with an occasional duet & group singalong, too! Her presentation is a bit apologetic at times, because she delivers some hard-hitting criticisms of social pressures toward marriage, empty-headed bimbos (male & female) as well as numerous reflections on science fiction authors and role playing games. But it's funny stuff! No, really - well, except for some of the darker songs about pain and rejection and suicidal impulses, but still, it's wryly humorous. If you think life is sunshine and puppies and soap bubbles and rainbows, skip along and don't trouble yourself. If you enjoy irony, wit and innuendo, check her out - she's one sharp cookie.
