It's like Cheers with a Kiwi twist
I have to tell you that this is one of my all time favorite bars and grills to eat at and hang out in and I don’t even drink that much anymore.

Nonetheless, two years ago, Amanda, a beautiful green-eyed cheery women walked into Tilicia Studios, where I worked as a Massage Practitioner. She was handing out coupons to advertise a new restaurant in PB. I was so excited to hear that they had organic beef! I am so not a vegetarian, but like to eat extremely healthy.

I told Amanda that I would definitely try it. Bare Back Grill is like my “Cheers” with good healthy food and a New Zealand twist. I have been going there ever since Amanda walked into Tilcia. I absolutely love the food there (well a lot of time it is made with love by an ever so sweet and cute Aquarian reddish-dyed-haired punk rock guy – kudos to the cook)!

I brag about this place to everyone and have taken many friends to eat here and they love it just as much.

One girlfriend exclaimed that I can never date any of the guys there, because if I did and it didn’t work, we would lose our amazing sweet and salty French fries connection. Please, mind you, she was jesting…I think.

Another girlfriend excitedly expressed that another establishment’s (which used to be both our favorite burger place, whom I shall not name) burgers’ really sucks compared to BBG. Another burger will never touch her mouth.

A fellow Holistic Health Practitioner and friend of mine, relished in a Bare Burger and in between the wipes of her mouth and yums of ecstasy, she said, she would never go anywhere else for another burger again.

I, personally, love their Wake n Bake. No, not because I partake in those activities, but I love that it’s a Tilapia fish burger that is so juicy and fills my mouth with utter enjoyment and nourishes my body in a healthy way. The actual ingredients are fresh Tilapia, sweet wasabi dressing, lettuce, toms (none for me thanks…I replace them with beets), onions and BBG sauce.

When I need to build my blood, I go for the Bare Lil Lamb! Oh my gosh! Yum!
Prime NZ lamb burger, bleu cheese crumbles with mini dressing, beet root, lettuce, tomato (sans tomatoes, of course, for me), red onion & BBQ sauce.

Every time I walk in the place, I receive a big smile from whoever is working there. Mikey and Dom, are great guys and nice on the eyes. Amanda, Cara, Brigette, Heather, Katie, are fellow beautiful rays of light and so friendly. If I have missed anyone, I do apologize, as I haven’t remembered all their names, yet.

I have consistently received great food and great service here. Not to mention, the other people I’ve met and conversations I’ve had, from betting on a horse called, “Liquidity” ($3 all in fun bet-no, they are not bookies) and discussing odds and horse racing to the Qabbalah and “What the Bleep” to being slightly embarrassed that I knew characters of the of Lords of the Rings while talking to a young Astrophysics engineer to attempting to coach some young navy men how “get game”.

Nonetheless, PJ, the owner, is incredibly cool and has created an amazing place to hang out. PJ and the BBG crew, my stomach, mind, body and spirit thanks you.
