Cilantro Live! was my original inspiration to go 100% raw. Within a less than 2 months, after my first visit, I became 100% raw and vegan. That was nearly two years ago. Cristina Guzman, the owner, was of tremendous help during my transition, answering many questions. The food is delicious and alive with flavor. And the desserts are to live for!  The only fault is the general noise of the place. It is large and sparsely decorated so the walls echo all noise. The food, however is amazing. I never knew such great things could be made with only raw vegan food! - Yannick , posted 10/16/05 |

So its awesome that this restaurant is supporting a raw food universe, but they are very overpriced. The waitress never seems like she enjoys working there. The portions are pretty small. The menu is well explained in detail, and the place is cute, but try Kung Food, much better environment. And by the way, most of the veggies and things they use at Cilantro aren't even organic. OK, I loved this place and I'm not even vegetarian. BUT, that doesn't mean just because your vegan you will love this place. If vegan and raw appeal to you, I suggest giving this restaurant a try. It's hard to go wrong when you like this kind of food, which I do. I live with two devout meat eaters and don't always get to treat myself to vegan let alone raw so this was a real treat for me.
