Mamas Leb Bakery
Jamie's right about the eggplant wrap. Too greasy and not so good. But you can't make a good judgement until you've tried the falafel wrap. Couldn't say about the meat items. Probably good if that's your thing - the Me'Te` , posted 06/21/06

Lebanon is more than good just good cedar
I love this place and from what I gather everyone else agrees. All I have had has been great and reasonably priced. My favorite thing about Mama's is the Arabic coffee and baklava. If you haven't tried it you are missing out. it's perfect for after your meal or if you just want a different take on coffee. Just make sure you order it when you order your meal for when you are done eating, it takes a little time to make. A friendly warning though; Arabic coffee leaves the grounds in the ibrik it's brewed in, so be careful when drinking the last few sips out of your cup or you will end up with a mouth of coffee sludge. Enjoy - Unsubscribed , posted 03/19/06

questionable
maybe i just ordered the wrong item, an eggplant wrap. But it was really unpleasant, there was a really pungent raw onion/garlic flavor that couldnt be ignored. I swiftly threw it at the wall in disgust. Iam wiling to try it again, what do you folks reccomend? - Mezi , posted 01/23/06

Hummina Hummus
One of my all-time favorite places to eat in all of San Diego. I grew up down the street and remember when they opened up. It's still a tiny little hole in the wall business, but you can't go wrong. Their hours vary sometimes, so don't horribly disappointed if you make the trip and you find out they are closed. Make sure you Do go back and give them a try. - Una , posted 09/23/04

Best Middle-Eastern food in SD (& cheapest)
Mama's Lebonese Bakery & deli is a small family run establishment (the family lives there) and is one of SD's best kept dining secrets. The food is excellent, and very inexpensive, average meal runs aroung $6. They have a sajji which is a dome shaped oven that the baked the handmade flat breads on for the sandwiches. garlic chicken and ultimate manakeesh are my faves. lots of veggie choices too. and they play good music. - Frank , posted 09/09/04
