the best - but you pay for it
I've been a few times and always had great service. I recently took my boyfriend there for his birthday (romantic dinner for two with appetizer, bottle of wine and tip clocked in well over $160) and he is a real food snob - he was blown away.

The last waiter I had was very helpful and chatty without being annoying. Talked us into a superb bottle of wine.

Can't recommend highly enough. - My Body is a Temple , posted 06/13/05

horrible service
We waited 40 minutes to be sat AND we had a reservation.

However, I bet the foods fab. We just didn't stay long enough to actually try it. - Shannon , posted 06/04/05

Try the "Tears of the Profet" martini
it has pomegranet juice. I loved it even though I cant spell a derned thing today. Food was excellent, Lamb Tagine was my fave. Decor is beautiful. Wierd location though, dont let the burger joint next door deter you. - Divya , posted 04/17/05

Worth it
An excellent restarant. The name comes from the concept the restaraunt is based on: food from the 33rd parallel around the globe.

The food is fantastic. Much of it has an asian fusion flare. It's a small room, so do go ith a recommendation on a busy night. Staff is generally very helpful and friendly but can be stuffy. Don't be afraid to ask for more information on the menu items - the chef really knows what she's doing and puts some unique combinations together.

The atmostphere is hip and exotic, with some truly unique doecorative flairs. The bar is a classy, full service affair, with a small selection of imported bottle beers you're not likely to find elsewhere.

A bit pricey with entrees in the $20-30 range. A romantic dinner for two with drinks and an appetizer or two would come in at the golden $100 mark. - Dave , posted 03/12/05

Great food! Great atmosphere!
The place has awesome decor and atmosphere! From the moment you walk in, you are transported to another place that is calm and timeless. The food is elegantly presented, has good-sized portions and is exquisitely delicious! A perfect place for a romantic evening! It's not cheap...but you can't have everything all the time... this place is totally worth the expense!!!! - Natasha , posted 09/09/04
