Best Soul Food in San Diego - Sister Pee Wee's Soul Food in Grant Hill
Check out Sister Pee Wee's Soul Food in the Grant Hill neighborhood. Stick to your ribs good soul food.

The menu changes daily based on what Sister Pee Wee's cooking up that day. We went last night and I had fried catfish, the sides were homemade mac and cheese, greens and rice.

The venue is small, with a single counter, no tables, so I wouldn't recommend it for a large group, but maybe four people. Prices are about $10 for a big heaping plate of food, cooked by Sister Pee Wee.

After you get your food, Sister Pee Wee likes to sit and chat, and she's got some great stories to tell. The place has been there since 1966.

You can call in orders to take out, but I highly recommend going there, sitting behind the counter and chatting up Sister Pee while you're soaking up the vibe of the place and enjoying your meal.
