Tje Hillcrest location: For atmosphere, they get a good rating. For location, it varies. Its right next door to a club so at night you get the drunken sweaty obnoxious crowd who really dont care for coffee that much. The people behind the bar are sweet, but dont seem very focused. The coffee used to be a lot better in my opinion, and I think they are a little too overpriced. There are defenitely better coffee shops around. But if your in that area, why not? There are multiple locations of The Living Room Coffeehouse in San Diego. My favorites are the Point Loma location and the San Diego State location; both are easily 4-5 stars. I don't care for the La Jolla location (they cater to a tourist crowd and like to get turnover so lingering isn't an option) and the Hillcrest location (zip for parking, usually crowded and loud). The coffee is only good to very good but the desserts are excellent. Regular food goes from so-so to very good. - Unsubscribed , posted 08/30/04 |
