overrated
for some reason, everyone has been raving about this place, but i don't see what the big deal is.
soup was served cold. the main course was bland. the server was absent for most of the meal leaving us parched without more wine or water. - jr ranger , posted 01/08/08

Ugh
Food was...okay, but waaay over-rated and over-priced...and the owner is an absolute asshole. Any number of better places in the area. Trying too hard. Better off at Pamplemousse. - Oro , posted 10/17/06

Vagabond
I really enjoy the Chilian Sea Bass. I think they also have a good selection of fairly priced wines. It can be kinda noisy in there and thats why I go when its slow or I bring a bulll horn. I would not go there if your in a hurry. Its more of a place to just sit, talk real loud and have a blast waiting for your food... - Unsubscribed , posted 10/17/06

Decent but not great food for the price. Slow Service. Noisy.
Vagabond kitchen is very appealing from the street and quite popular. It definitely raises the bar for food quality in the neighborhood. However, it is so noisy as to be almost unbearable. The service was so bad that I had to ask two or three times each time that I wanted my waterglass refilled. The food was good, but overly salty - I mean really salty, and I like salt. My companion had the same opinion. Two modest entrees, one salad, one soup and no wine that night put the tab at $49 + tip.Not a bad restaurant at all, but there are many better choices in its price range. - Bingo , posted 10/17/06
