It is definitely good, but...
I love the tasty red fish #7.
It is awesome! But I have gone there and been annoyed.
I have been served a dirty glass with detergent in it. My beer was foaming up and up and up.
There was nothing done about it when I brought attention to it.
During the same dining experience we were asked to hurry up, finish and pay our bill because they were closing for lunch in a half an hour, just as he sat two new tables???
Needless to say, I get my food to go. - Boozy Susy , posted 01/19/08

it's the best
While I agree with jenni whole heartedly, I also like so many things on the menu that I struggle with what to order every time. It's good to go with lots of people and share! We used to go every sunday before simpsons when we lived in San Diego. You can't beat the taste! - Sarah , posted 08/23/05

Hot Chef rocks my world!
Hot Chef Eric will spice your socks off, but only if you ask him to. He will make most dishes vegetarian/vegan if you ask, and everyone there is incredibly friendly and helpful. My favorites are the Garlic Tofu and Tasty Red Tofu. The salad rolls are spectacular, I go here every time I visit San Diego!

low pretense, low price, big portions
Beware the word "spicy" - they walk softly but carry a big stick of HOT

Very friendly waitstaff - very casual and jokey but they bust ass and get you food and drink fast. - My Body is a Temple , posted 06/13/05
